It is with great sadness that the family of Sheldon Lahshát Hill, 31, of Oneida, announce his passing on March 19, 2023.
Sheldon was born on March 04, 1992 to Rodney and Karla (Reiter) Hill in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Sheldon graduated from Seymour Community High School in 2010. After graduation he worked as a laborer in the construction field, though his greatest accomplishment in life was his three children - Tehaluw^tat, Ariella, and Sophia Hill.
Sheldon's family was everything to him. His family didn't include only those related to him by blood, it included everyone he loved and spent time with. He enjoyed spending time at big family potlucks but might have loved the taco salad and brats more than the gathering itself. Another family gathering Sheldon enjoyed was spending time at the lake swimming and sitting by a big bonfire. Sheldon's love of the outdoors started with hunting and fishing with his Grandpa Sonny. Often, he wandered aimlessly through the woods and found peace anytime he was near water. Sheldon carried the biggest smile, had the best jokes, and loved making people laugh. He created so many fun memories with anyone who dared to venture with him – and Darrin, who was never too far away. His heart was big, his love was genuine, and he cared for others far more than himself; he often reminded Kaylen to take care of herself instead of always worrying about him. Most people knew of the unconditional love Sheldon had for his dogs. HOWEVER, he had an unconditional secret love for Leland's goats too. Another side to Sheldon many didn't often see was his love for drawing, his love for lacrosse, and his late-night gaming.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his Grandpa Sonny Reiter, Grandpa Ed Hill, Nephew Beau Leland Hill, his dogs Arizona, Chico and Ofi, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is survived by his son Tehaluw^tat Hill, daughters, Ariella Hill, Sophia Hill, and LaRyah Peters, whom he loved as his own; parents, Rodney and Karla Hill; brothers Leland (Jennifer) Hill and Darrin (Nanette) Hill; sister Kaylen (Dawson) Hill; Nieces and Nephews, Collin, Khloe, Gracelyn, Schuyler, Harmony, Jace, Caillou, as well an additional niece and nephew on the way; maternal grandmother, Harriet Reiter; paternal grandmother, Beverly Hill. Sheldon is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 7:30pm and a prayer service at 8:00pm.
Visitation will continue Friday, March 24, 2023 from 9:00am - 11:00am at the Oneida United Methodist Church until the service begins at 11:00am with the burial concluding at the Oneida United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent's Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and the first responders for their continuous care and compassion for Sheldon.
A special thank you to the Oneida Community, our families, and our friends for your continuous thoughts, prayers, and love throughout this difficult time.
