Michael John Schoshinski, 62, son of James and Carol (Larsen) Schoshinski, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in San Francisco on Sunday, July 20, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 19, 1963, Mike grew up as the second oldest of four children in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mike graduated from Southwest High School in 1981. He continued his education, receiving a Biomedical Engineering degree from Marquette University. He went on to earn his Pharm.D from the University of California-San Francisco and spent the subsequent twenty-four years employed by Stanford University Hospital and Medical Center as a clinical pharmacist specializing in the lCU.

Growing up, Mike lived across the street from Lambeau Field and was an ardent and life-long Green Bay Packer fan and season ticket holder. In San Francisco, Mike developed an allegiance to the SF Giants, attending home games all season long, and spring training year over year in Scottsdale, AZ. He loved nothing more than to spend time with cherished friends at his favorite bars in San Francisco, Green Bay, and Milwaukee. Mike also loved playing darts in the SF Dart League, downhill skiing in the winter, long walks on the beach in New Smyrna Beach, FL, and fishing on his beloved Underwood Lake in northern Wisconsin.

While many called Mike a “best friend,” Mike used to say he had no best friends, only “authentic friends.” Those people are too numerous to count. He was an earnest and loyal friend who would do anything for anyone. A truly beautiful soul. Mike is survived by his parents, his wife, Sharon Tung, his daughter, Pascale Schoshinski (David Anhalt), his brothers, Steve and Scott (Julie), his sister, Beth, and many relatives and friends.

Celebrations of life will be held in San Francisco and Green Bay for family and friends.

In consideration of Mike’s generous spirit, please consider offering an act of kindness to a friend or stranger in need.
