Survived by wife Susan Mathena; daughters Lisa (Scott) Kaufenberg & Melanie Mathena (Derek Lipinski); granddaughters Macey & Allie Kaufenberg.
Retired from years of working overnights at Rainbow Foods, Sheldon was known as a hard worker and also spent many hours on yard work and landscaping to create a beautiful backyard sanctuary. He enjoyed golfing, drawing and painting and loved going to Florida with his family – he will be greatly missed!
A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 19 at Inver Hills Church (8265 Babcock Trail E, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077). Visitation begins at 10 am with a service at 11 am, followed by a luncheon. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sheldon, please visit our Tree Store.
