Sheldon Reynolds Obituary
Sheldon is survived by his brother Robert, two daughters Marci Cobb and her husband Timothy, Lori Hamilton and her husband Rich, his grandchildren Sarah and Clarence Devens, Brittany and Adam Stiles, Jason and Stephanie Cobb, Shannon and Mark Silano, Kaci and Kevin Tatunczak, 14 amazing great grandchildren, and niece and nephew Robert and Patti Hauver. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice.
Sheldon was a US Army Veteran who spent time stationed at Pearl Harbor. He was also an avid golfer, playing weekly at Vassar College into his 90th year. Sheldon was a devoted husband, loving father and genuine friend, he will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dutchess County SPCA in his memory.
Calling hours will be held March 19th from 11am to 1pm at Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral service will be held immediately after at 1pm with burial following at Union Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Sheldon since I was 14. He's always felt like part of the family, and was a great friend to my mother, Joyce, and my stepfather, Bob. When my mother died, and I had to assist Bob with care from an hour away, Sheldon made sure to keep an eye on things when I couldn't. All I had to do was call, and he'd take a ride over and make sure things were okay. He was an excellent friend to Bob, especially during those difficult years.
And the nice part was that I got to know Sheldon even better during the last seven years. We spent many hours on the phone talking. He had a good heart, and loved dogs as much as I do. I'd like to believe Sheldon is reunited with Bernice now, for he missed her so much since her passing.
I am praying for all of you during this difficult time.
