Shelley Ann Davis, a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Wife, passed away peacefully at home with Family by her side, at the age of 66.

She was born on November 5th, 1958 in Plattsburgh, NY. The Daughter of Charles Hoffert and Leona Hoffert (Robare).

Shelley was the epitome of a loving and selfless mother. She was her children's biggest supporter. She loved sewing, crafting and being a Meme to her grandchildren. She loved spending time with Family, especially her 3 children, and her Sister Kimmy whom she raised like a Daughter. She loved doing Sunday dinners down at "Pops" house, enjoying time as a family with her former In-laws, laughing and always telling stories. She loved to soak up all the time she could, with everyone she could. Her commitment to her Children and Family were unmatched.

She married the love of her life Danny Davis on October 25th 2003. They have been married for 22 years. They enjoyed taking trips, gardening and eating seafood together as often as they could.

She was a pillar of her Community, and selflessly loved helping everyone. She was the Clerk to the Town Supervisor of Chesterfield N.Y. for over 40 years. She was the Town Assessor for many years as well. She was a part of the Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus in Keeseville. Along with many other hats she wore. She liked to say she was a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None." Shelley's legacy is one of Kindness, Love and her Impact on the many lives she has touched over the years.

Left to cherish her memory is her Husband Danny Davis. Her 3 Children, Brian LaFountain (Tiffany), Charles LaFountain (His Children and His Partner Kami), and Sarah LaFountain-Olson (Tony and their 3 children Brayden, Madden and Zayne). Her 2 Step sons Sean Amico (His Children and wife Khristyn), and Danny "Dee" Davis. Her Sisters, Kim McCullouch (Mike), Donna Hoffert (Ray). Her spouses' siblings, Andrew Davis (Jennifer), Kevin Davis (Melissa). Her Father-in-law Richard Klages. The Father of her Children, Skip LaFountain, Her loving Brother in Law Mark "Markie"LaFountain and her "Forever Friend" Terry Feeley. Along with many more Family and Friends.

She was predeceased by her Father, Charles Hoffert, her Mother, Leona Hoffert (Robare), her Grandson Charles James LaFountain (CJ) and her Mother-in-Law Kathy Klages.

We also can't forget her "Furry Children", Manon (Dog), Arlo and Acorn (Cats).

The 1800th century poet, Samuel Rogers, once wrote the words, "To know her, was to love her." There was never a person Shelley met, who didn't love her infectious smile, her caring personality, and her moral excellence. Shelley embodied the virtuous woman discussed in Proverbs 31.

Blessed to know her and fortunate to love her, we certainly were.

Shelley did not wish to have services or calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held at the Memorial VFW Post 1505, 1309 Rte 9, Keeseville, NY 12944 , Sunday, October 12th, beginning at 1pm.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 518-834-7667.
