Shellie Dean Hoerrmann

Shellie Dean Hoerrmann, 53, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

Shellie was born on June 15, 1972, to Keith and Ferne Hoerrmann. She was raised in the Green Castle area all of her life, graduating from Green City High School in 1990. After graduation she went to cosmetology school and Worked at her own hair salon called "Shellie's Hair Shoppe" for 25 years. She also did hair at various nursing homes in the area. She worked at Party Mart in Green City for several years while going to school. She helped cook at the Green Castle Lions Club and Kirksville livestock for several years.

Shellie is survived by: her mother, Ferne Hoerrmann of Green Castle; daughter, Kylie Perez (Lino) of Green City; three grandchildren, Kyle Zachary, Ian Perez, Isaiah Perez; brother, Linny (Joyce) Hoerrmann of Green Castle; two nieces, Jennifer (Wes) Smith, and Christine (Greg) Hedges; nephews, Christopher (Raeann) Hoerrmann and Kirk Francis Hoerrmann, several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her father, Keith Hoerrmann; brother, Kyle Hoerrmann; uncle, Glenn Montgomery; maternal and paternal grandparents; Dean and Kathleen Grisamer and Francis Montgomery.

Shellie was involved in 4-H at Winigan, Missouri for many years. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She loved fishing, especially with her grandpa. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandkids.

A funeral service for Shellie will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. Burial will follow at Wilhite Cemetery, west of Milan, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the funeral home.
