Shelly was a force of nature. The National Organization for Women would not be the force it is..without her leadership of the Los Angeles Chapter.. and her role on the National Board. Rest in peace my friend.

Our kids introduced us, I became your masseuse for 30 years, and along the way our friendship bloomed. Christmas at Twin Dragons, Jamaica, Alaska, and so many shared stories about growing up in Hollywood. I miss you my friend Joanne

Shelly was my boss at Koss Real Estate. We were both working during the day and going to school at night (me CSUN, her Southwestern Law), so we easily empathized with our workloads. She was kind, thoughtful, smart and funny...the perfect boss. I learned a lot from her. None of it work related...as a young man, she taught me about true feminism and the realities of how women were treated in our world. I carried her lessons for the last forty years. Rest in peace and rest in strength, Shelly. Thank you for being you and for the lessons you taught me.

Oh Shelly...you were a force of nature. Of our many memories over the last...ahem...40 years...I'll never forget our escapades as Kennedy delegates at the 1980 Democratic Convention in New York. The New York Times wrote about it on December 8th 1980, author Leslie Bennetts. You didn't take credit...but you ran the show. I'll miss you forever my friend.

Shelly Mandell was a force with which to be reckoned. She was a good employer, a good teacher and a force within the legal community. She will be missed by many in our community and her loss is keenly felt.

Shelly may have left the building but she'll be forever in my heart. Shelly was part of my 'chosen family' for the past 37 years only to find out a few years ago, through 23 and Me, that we are actually related as not so distant cousins. I'll never forget all the fun times and shenanigans we had. I wish her soul peace in the next realm.
Condolences to her family and friends.
I miss you already Shel

I was deeply shocked to receive this news. I remember first meeting aboard Ms. Shegas. You seized life and never lost grip. Rest peacefully, dear friend.

Oh, SMM, I miss our calls, the morning greeting, followed by the mid-day check in and closing with the evening bid of a good sleep... I'm still making them in spirit ... and your memorial Yarhzeit candle lasted longer than I expected... TC
