BARBARA MANDELL Obituary
Barbara was a college professor her entire career and spent 25 yrs at the University of Rhode Island.
She was affectionately known as Scooter, by her students, as she was always on the go and encouraging physical activity in all its forms.
Barbara was active in multiple organizations and when not giving her time, she was generously donating to promote causes to alleviate suffering both at home and abroad.
Barbara was constantly curious and travelled the world - even into her 90s she was heading out on African adventures.
In addition to a wide network of friends worldwide Barbara leaves behind three nieces- Penny Mandell, Roz Ferber (Alan), Laura Gundzik (Gregory). Five Great Nieces- Alexandra Owen, Marissa Bongo (Jared), Siobhan Mandell, Devin Mandell-Kloster (Wes) and Lauren Sunday and 4 Great -great nephews-Stephen Ferber (Kaley), Cameron Bongo, Aldous Mandell Kloster, Joe Gundzik, and one great -great niece Julia Gundzik.
Her kindness, curiosity and enthusiasm for life will be missed.
