Sheree Lynn Martin Steen, 63, wife of Sidney Tyson Steen, Jr., passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her home.
Sheree was born on January 11, 1962, in Camden, the daughter of Barbara Ann House Martin and the late Ancil Leo Martin. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a former Georgetown County volunteer firefighter with Station 9. Sheree worked most of her career in the medical field but later in life went to work for Ocean Lakes Family Campground, a job she truly loved and a place where she formed many lasting friendships. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life that included going to the mountains with her family, watching the Clemson Tigers and spending time at the beach.
Survivors include her husband and mother both of Georgetown; four children, Erica Steen (Jacob Sessions) of Georgetown, Erin O'Dell (Anthony) of Georgetown and Emily Martin (Rivers) of Suttons and Stacie Prettel of Pawleys Island; four grandchildren who affectionately called her Gigi, Dorothy Sessions, Jacob Sessions, Poppy Raine O'Dell and Riverlynn Martin; one sister, Tonya Howard (Mike) of Lugoff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ancil Leo "Andy" Martin, II.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 16, 2025, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at the church.
