Jackie Altman Leland, 90, widow of Legare Morrison “L. M.” Leland, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Born on September 11, 1935, in Marion, she was a daughter of the late David Chesley Altman and the late Retha Turbeville Altman. Mrs. Leland was a member of Screven Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with children and working in her flower garden. She had a giver’s heart and enjoyed volunteering with various organizations.
Survivors include her children, Wanda Wilson-Goude and Thomas Leland (Roxanne) all of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Adam Moore Sr. (Arlene) of Georgetown, Nicole Burruss (Chris) Dawsonville, GA and Jared Wilson of Washington, GA; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5-6 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
