With hearts full of love and gratitude for her life, the family of Beverly Ann Leland announces her passing on October 19, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on September 7, 1954, in Adrian, Michigan, Beverly was the daughter of the late George T. Meyer and Eleonore Marie (Hawhee) Meyer.

Beverly's journey through life was one marked by resilience, joy, and deep devotion to her family. She shared many years with her former husband, the late James Porter Leland. Though their paths eventually diverged, the time they spent together brought forth their greatest blessings-their children and the family that grew around them.

She was the proud and loving mother of Jennifer (Jimmy) Fedishin, Andrea (Sam) Quinn, and James Michael Leland. Her heart expanded even more as she became a grandmother to James Fedishin, Alysia McCanney-Fedishin, and Skyler Quinn, and a great-grandmother to Carson and Henry Fedishin. Beverly cherished her siblings, Christine Meyer, Marie (the late Fred) Collins, and remembered with love her late brother Timothy Meyer. She also treasured her sister-in-law Robin Belkowski. Her nieces and nephews, including Jonathon (Grace) Meyer, Melissa Lanstra, the late David Aleman, and Chris Aleman, and her great-niece and nephew Levi and Amelia, held a special place in her heart.

Beverly's friendships were lifelong and true. She shared over 50 years of companionship with her dear friend Sherry Havira, found sisterhood with Diane Havaich, and for more than 25 years shared a bond of understanding and encouragement with Riccardo Whitehead, whom she first met while they were both patients at Henry Ford Hospital. For the past 20 years, Michael lovingly served as her caretaker, becoming an indispensable part of her daily life. Beverly's loyal dogs, Duke and Baby, never left her side and brought her endless comfort.

Known as a free spirit, Beverly loved the simple joys of life. She enjoyed beach days, jewelry-especially earrings-going out to lunch with friends, and trips to her favorite restaurant, Mi Pueblo in Detroit. Her favorite movies, Fried Green Tomatoes and La Bamba, were watched time and again with delight. She found joy in riding her three-wheel bike, walking by the river, decorating cakes, playing the clarinet, and gathering with loved ones to share meals and laughter.

Beverly will be remembered for her big hugs, warm attentiveness, sharp memory, and her habit of always following up on the little details that mattered so much to others. She adored her grandchildren and never missed a chance to ask her son-in-law Jimmy if he had caught a deer. Her spirit was resilient-through many hospital stays and difficult challenges, she never gave up.

Her life is a testament to love that endures, friendships that sustain, and a willpower that inspires. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family has asked that private cremation services be arranged in the care of Solosy Funeral Home.
