Sherilyn Sims Conn, 82, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, after a period of declining health.
Born on February 10, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas, to JD and Inez Sims, Sherilyn was raised in Grand Prairie and later made her home in Arlington, where she and her husband built a loving family and lasting friendships over the decades.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert Conn; her two sons, Clay Conn and Chad Conn; and her beloved daughters-in-law, Kat Conn and Sherri Conn. She is also survived by her three sisters, Jennifer Bush, Pam Kent, and Kim Kimbrough, along with her brothers-in-law Steven Bush, Greg Kent, and Dave Kimbrough. Sherilyn was a proud and adoring grandmother to her five grandchildren , Parker, Kaylor, Chris, CJ, and Karys, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
A lifelong follower of Christ, Sherilyn was a faithful member of Lake Arlington Baptist Church since 1980. Her deep faith guided her throughout her life and inspired her service to others through Mission Arlington, where she dedicated countless hours to helping those in need.
Professionally, Sherilyn devoted her career to education, working within both the Arlington and Mansfield Independent School Districts. Her compassion, patience, and commitment touched the lives of countless students and colleagues over the years.
Sherilyn will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her gentle and generous heart, and the unconditional love she poured into her family and community.
