Sherlene Hart of Agawam, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at Agawam Rehabilitation Center. Born on February 12, 1940, in Americus, Georgia, Sherlene was a beloved mother, sister, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend whose warmth and devotion touched countless lives.
Sherlene was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Vearn Hart; her daughter Antoinette Weaver; a longtime friend Joel Grant and her companion Harry S. Newbill. She is survived by her brothers Alex Hart and Darren Hart (and wife Candis Branch); her sister Debbie Hart; her son Gerald Hart (and wife Elaine Hart); her daughter Sharon Hart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy. Dedicated to education, Sherlene devoted over 20 years of her life as a paraprofessional and teacher's assistant in the Chicopee Public Schools, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of students each day. Her caring spirit, patience and commitment to service became hallmarks of her professional and personal life.
Throughout her life Sherlene was known for her loving heart, her dedication to her family and community, and her ability to bring out the best in others. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy of kindness and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memories and reflections on Sherlene's life shared by family and friends during her memorial service.
May Sherlene rest in eternal peace.

I haven't been in contact with Sherlene for many years, but we were very close friends and Coworkers in the 90's at Westover Job Corps. I have fond memories of our friendship. May she rest in peace.
