Sherman W. Rex, Jr. was born March 15, 1971 in Los Angeles, California. He was the second child born to Sherman W. and Linda L. (Washington) Rex.

Sherman was a graduate of Southeast High School. He was later employed as an EVS worker in the hotel industry. Sherman later met Nyree Wilson, and they became the proud parents of Sherman W. Rex III.

Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Sherman W. Rex, mother, Linda L. Brown; both sets of grandparents; a host of uncles, aunties, cousins and those he called friend.

Surviving Sherman are his son, Sherman W. Rex III; sistahs, Mikko Rex, Cassie Rex and KaShonda Rex-Haywood; a band of brothas, a host of uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to celebrate his Homegoing.
