Sherri Gardo
Sherri Gardo, 69, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 27, 2023 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. Sherry was born on March 9, 1954 in Cleveland County, She was Daughter of the late George Leigh. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Vess, her brother, Howard Eugene Leigh, her sister, Alice Faye Leigh, and her grandparents, George and Getty Leigh. Sherri was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cherokee Street Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain, Hospice, and the Kings Mountain Care Center.
Survivors include mother, Barbara Leigh, Shelby, NC, Ruth Stadon, South Carolina, a daughter, Chasity Vess, South Carolina, one grandson. Two sisters, Karen and Robbie Kendrick, Shelby, NC, Kim and Mark White of Mooresville, NC. Two brothers, James Aldridge, Shelby, NC, Ricky Aldridge, Mooresville, NC. Vanessa Lail of Kings Mountain, NC, a very dear family member and special person to the family.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Park

My condolences to the family. My mother is a resident at White Oak Manor and I´ve had many opportunities to speak with Miss Sherri. I remember on one occasion she saw me braiding my mother´s hair and asked me to braid hers. I was happy to do it. I am very sad to hear of her passing. God bless you all. You are in my prayers.
