William Davis Cash
William “Bill” Davis Cash Sr., 95, of Cramerton, NC, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born February 23, 1930 in Chesnee, South Carolina to John Herman and Annie Davis Cash. He retired in 1994 after 26 years in pharmaceutical research with Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis). He had earlier served for 14 years on the faculty of Cornell University Medical College. Bill earned his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a member of the U.S. Army, during the Korean War, he was assigned to Walter Reed Medical Center for a two-year period. He filled leadership roles in Baptist and Presbyterian churches and the Boy Scouts of America. He authored numerous scientific papers. Bill was married in 1961 to Lynn Lee Millar, daughter of John W. and M. Louise Millar of East Williston, New York. In addition to Lynn, survivors are daughter Lisa Neisler (Lee) of Cramerton, NC; daughter Leslie Seneski (Gerry) of Haddonfield, NJ; son William D. Cash, Jr. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren Carly Neisler Powell, Max Neisler, Rachel Neisler, Annie Seneski O’Connor, Chris Seneski, Lily Cash Aluska, Liam Cash and five great grandchildren.
