Ray Cash Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 14, 2025.
William Ray Cash, 68, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late William "Dutch" Junior Cash and Nora "Tib" Elizabeth Slaten Cash.
Ray was a life long member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. He retired from the South Greenville Fire District after 40 years of service. Growing up, Ray enjoyed fishing with his dad, but discovered his true love when he was introduced to horses. He showed horses and actively rode for many years and was a member of the Laurens County Saddle Club.
Ray is survived by his brothers, Keith Cash with his wife Genni and Rob Cash with his wife Pam; a sister Betty Cash; two nieces, Laura Elizabeth Campbell and her husband McCrae and Mariah Cash; his close friends that were like family, Zac and Leighanne Terry and their daughters, Haddie Grace and Eliza Pearl; and his extended family in the South Greenville Fire District.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Greenville Memorial Gardens beginning at 11:00 am. The family will visit with friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ray's honor to the Sandy Springs Baptist Church Building Renovation, 371 Sandy Springs Road, Pelzer, SC 29669 or the South Greenville Fire Department, 8305 Augusta Road, Pelzer, SC 29669.
