Funeral services for Ms. Sherry Blash of
Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1 PM, at the William Grove Baptist Church, 104 West Mary Street in Dublin. Reverend Jonathan Lewis will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Born to parents, Sammie Blash and the late Kathleen "Katt" Carter, Sherry entered this world on March 31, 1978. She lived her life to the fullest and unapologetically. One of her favorite sayings was "What you see, is what you get." She embraced her lifestyle with no regrets. You could find Sherry sitting in her house or on the porch listening to music and drinking her favorite beer. She was a true Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons fan. She was known for her expertise in dressing. She loved wearing her jerseys, caps and Jordans.
Sherry joined the Springfield Baptist Church at a young age under the leadership of the late Rev. Pooler. On Thursday August 7, 2025, Sherry acknowledged and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior via prayer rendered by her aunt Ruth Blash. And for that we tell God thank you and to God Be the Ultimate Glory.
Sherry attended West Laurens High School and later joined Job Corps. While there, she obtained a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Sherry only ·worked two days in the nursing field before quitting. She would often say "I wasn't cut out to be a CNA" and she would praise those who did. Sherry upheld many other jobs such as Bassett Furniture, Elderado Stone, Husqvama, and the latest were Dexter Meat Market and Erdrich until her health declined.
On Friday, August 8, 2025, God dispatched his angel to Savannah Memorial Hospital. Surrounded by loved ones, Sherry answered "The Master's Call" and transitioned from labor to reward. We take assurance in knowing that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of need and we whole heartly profess John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
