Sherry Hamilton Covington

Sherry Diane Hamilton Covington, 71, of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 am with Bishop Jason Keyton officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday - August 10th at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Pallbearers will be; David Ellis, Tripp Smith, Melton Covington, Dalin Covington, Bruce Covington, and C.J. Covington. Sherry was born in Thomasville, GA, on July 18, 1952 to the late C.B. Hamilton and Christine Turner Lawson. She married Wade Covington on July 2, 1970 in Moultrie, GA, who survives. She worked as a Billing Clerk for Singletary Oncology and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She adored and loved her grandchildren they were the absolute joy and light of her life. She looked forward to the times she spent with each of them. She will be truly missed by all who knew her, and forever loved by her family and friends. Survivors include; her husband, Wade Covington of Thomasville, her two children, Brandy Majors (Jamie) and Chase Covington (Malina), both of Thomasville, grandchildren, Gracie Majors, Eli Majors, Kathryn Covington, Skyler Covington, Thomas Moore, and Mahayla Moore, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepfather, Ray Lawson, and a brother, Doyle Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Camp Arrow – P.O.
