Sherry Elizabeth Duff

Sherry Elizabeth Duff, age 74, of Middletown, DE passed away on September 25, 2024.
She was born on August 4, 1950, in Haverill, MA to the late Alexander and Claire Welch Stackelin. Sherry graduated from Haverill High School in 1968, during her teenage years she worked at her parents' pizza shop "Al's Pizza Shop". She attended Merrimack College where she met the love of her life, Paul on her first day of attendance.
Sherry was a skillful artist who drew numerous sketches of people and places. She enjoyed creating hundreds of greeting cards for family and friends. Sherry was proud of her Lithuanian heritage and celebrated it frequently.
She retired from New England Telephone Company, working as a service representative for 26 years. After her retirement she became a passionate and accomplished ballroom dancer. She and Paul travelled to many ballrooms across New England and Delaware, she was most happy to perform volunteer showcases at nursing homes in New Hampshire.
Sherry was most proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She would always tell them "Give me your worries, let me take them away in my hands."
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul, daughters, Melissa Nichols (James) of Middletown, DE and Aimee Duff (Mike Whipple) of Derry, NH, grandchildren, Sophia and A.J. Nichols of Middletown, DE and Austin Whipple of Derry, NH. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Lombardo (Carl) of Sykesville, MD and brother-in-law Gerald Duff (Rena) of St. Clairsville, OH, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately.
