David Gryniewicz Obituary
Born on June 20, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to the late John and Dorothy (Johnson) Gryniewicz, David served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967. He later retired from Shell Oil Refinery.
David was a former Commandant for the U.S. Marine Corps League of New Castle, DE, and served as the former Director of American Legion Riders Walter L Fox Post 2 in Dover, DE.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Katy (Estep) Gryniewicz, and his son, Robert.
He is survived by his daughter, Tara Daniels, and his granddaughter, Aurora Daniels.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12 PM at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, located at 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709. A viewing will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Forest Cemetery.

It breaks my heart to hear of your passing! We didn´t speak often but when we did it was like we didn´t skip a beat. I will always hold dear to my heart the many rides we took and the special one to Rolling Thunder where I earned my name Smart A** Brown Girl named Matilda! Lol because you couldn´t pronounce my name! To this day I have those too patches on my riders jacket and will NEVER forget you! Much Love. Gone but will NEVER be forgotten!

This makes me so sad! Too many good times to mention but they will always be in my memory, i will miss the rides we took with the riders and also just you, me, Rocky and Janet! Those were some of the best times. Rest well my friend and ride free! . Karen and Rocky

So sorry to hear of my good friend Davey's passing...Dave and I worked together at the Delaware City Refinery for many years... He was a great guy and a dedicated working...rest in peace my friend....my condolences goes out to his entire family... He had many co worker friends !!
