Mrs. Sherry Renee Ellis, age 56, of Calhoun, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, December 27, 2025, at her residence.
Sherry was born in Adairsville, Georgia, October 26, 1969, daughter of Helen Hyde Roberts and the late Leon Ray. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Ellis, brothers Larry Hyde and Lamar Hyde, and sister, Brenda Johnson.
Sherry was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple things in life and appreciated the quiet moments that brought comfort and peace. Her caring heart, warm spirit, and love for her family were the center of her world, and she leaves behind cherished memories that will be held close by all who loved her.
Survivors include her mother, Helen Hyde Roberts; children, Shannon Ellis, Jessie Walters (Winston), and Eric Ellis; grandchildren, Ashton and Aiden Ellis and Jase and Ellie Walters; sisters, Teresa Barber and Lillie Parker; brothers, Scotty Ray and Jerry Ray; several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Sherry’s wishes she will be cremated with a celebration of life held at a later date.
