Sherry Lee Holman, 80, of New Albany, Ohio, and Key West, Florida, passed away on November 4, 2025, due to complications from surgery in August 2025.
Sherry was born on March 1, 1945, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Montoney and Martha Montoney. She is survived by her husband, Michael Holman; her sons, Scott Holman and Rex Holman; and her sister, Renee Simpkins.
Sherry graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1963 and attended Ohio State University for one year. She was a member of the National Honor Society and served as her senior class vice president.
Sherry married her husband, Michael Holman, on June 14, 1964, after he graduated from the Naval Academy. She became a Navy wife, following Michael during his service.
Sherry worked for several years at her father’s company, Montoney Heating and Piping Company, and then became a full-time housewife and supporter of the Upper Arlington Wrestling Team, on which Scott and Rex successfully competed.
Wrestling became a family activity that brought Sherry great joy, as her sons participated in high school and college competitions. At home, she enjoyed caring for her plants and flowers.
Sherry was an enthusiastic and smart political supporter. She knew the issues well and loved President Trump.
No service is planned. Because of her support for President Trump, her husband, Michael, is donating in her memory to Trump’s political action committee.
