Sherry Klimek Obituary
Sherry Louise Klimek, age 75, of Wawina, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Sherry was born on January 28th, 1950, to parents Joanne and Donald Moline in Minneapolis, MN. She was the second of five children. She attended South High School. In 1968, she married the love of her life, David L. Klimek. Together, they had four children. In 1975, they moved to a simpler life in northern Minnesota.
Always a stay-at-home mom, she found many hobbies to pursue. She loved reading Westerns and romance novels. She especially enjoyed caring for animals. She loved her pets, particularly birds and fish.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents and brother Bradley. She is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters Laurie (Chris) Slettom of Lindstrom, MN, and Connie (Jim) Clayton of Blackberry, MN; sons Mark (Tanya) of Grand Rapids, MN, and Dave Jr. of Ironwood, MI. Siblings Richard (Bev), David, and Sue (Karl) Focht, 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Also, a very special friend, Sam.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at the Wawina Town Hall, 13432 Co Rd 25, Wawina, MN, on Saturday, Aug. 2nd, with visitation from 1-2:00 followed by a short memorial service and luncheon for fellowship and sharing memories.
