She was born on March 29, 1955, in Pender County, and her journey through life was marked by a warmth and kindness that touched everyone she met. Sherry's personality radiated love and care, earning her the affectionate nickname of "Channel 3 News," as she was always in the know and ready to lend an ear or a helping hand.

As her family prepared to say their goodbyes, they invite all who knew and loved her to join them in celebrating her remarkable life.
