Sherry Ann Nighbor age 66, of West Bend passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025.

Sherry was born on July 27, 1959 in Ripon, Wisconsin to Beverly (Docter) and Phebion Nighbor. Sherry was the third of eleven children.
Sherry will be remembered for her big smile and wonderful, contagious laugh. She loved listening to music, watching Friends and the Hallmark movies, shopping to people watch, going for walks, being outside, and McDonald's fish filet sandwiches. She was also well known for her tattling on her siblings to mom and dad and to staff at Touchstone when she thought someone was misbehaving. Most of all, Sherry loved being around the people she loved; her immediate family and her family at Touchstone. Sherry used to laugh so hard she couldn't catch her breath. She would crack up laughing especially if someone was a bit clumsy tripping, dropping or spilling something or would accidentally walk into a closed door. She had the best laugh when these things happened. Sherry really loved being around family for gatherings.
Sherry lived at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, Wisconsin from about 1974 to 2000 when she was moved to West Bend, Wisconsin. Sherry attended Threshold Inc. for the many services they offered until 2023. She was a member of Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church.
Sherry is survived by her siblings: Ronald (Gail) Nighbor, Pamela (Jeff) Kurth, Connie (Randy) Soyk, Raymond (Renee) Nighbor, Annette (Duane) Bock, Brenda (Robert) Couturier, Donald (Shelly) Nighbor, and Lance (Karen) Nighbor. Nieces/Nephews: Thea Schulties, Trisha Nighbor, Nicole Kurth, Danielle (Nick) White, Jessica (Jason) Dean, Steven Soyk, Amber Nighbor, Tracie (Andy) Lee, Chelsey (Ethan) Wolf, Megan (Cory) Bock, and Cole Bock. Great Nieces/Nephews: Dakoda Nighbor, Sydney and Bristol Weber, Ashling White, Levi Lee, Maverick, Brooklyn and Madyson Wolf.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Nighbor, and a sister, Mary Nighbor.
Funeral services will be held on September 4, 2025 at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, Wisconsin from noon to 2 pm. There will be a short service immediately following. A private burial will be held on September 5, 2025.
Sherry's family would like to thank the following for putting a smile on her face. When she blew you a kiss, it was her way of letting you know you had a special place in her heart and these people received many of those kisses. Touchstone Living Care staff: Ginger, Aramie, Patty, Tasha, Virneisha, Alex, Tyana, Jarrell and Jeff. All of the staff at Threshold Inc, Heather and Natalie from My Choice, John A. Best, Renee from Home Healthcare, Shannon F for helping her look beautiful and Pastor Knoll for the service and burial.
