Sherry Rowland Obituary
Born in Highland Park to Edward and Wanda Hildner, Sherry was raised in Detroit, where she graduated from Detroit Lutheran High School West in 1979.
On October 29, 2006, she married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Rowland. Together they shared nearly twenty years of partnership, laughter, and devotion. Sherry devoted 46 years of her professional life to working as a travel agent, helping others create memories through travel while forming lasting friendships with clients and colleagues alike.
Sherry's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Shane (Angela Henderson) Rowland and Cheryl (Erick) Odett; her cherished grandson, Austin; her parents, Edward and Wanda; her brothers, Doug Hildner and Donald (Sabine) Hildner; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Hildner; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob (Robert) Hildner.
A Celebration of Life honoring Sherry's memory will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Berkley Community Church, 2855 Wiltshire Rd., Berkley, Michigan 48072. Please call Sue at 248-787-1598.
Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society in Sherry's name.

Sherry Kay was the guru of travel. Whenever we needed answers on anything, Sherry was always the one who would take care of it and knew what to do. It is a shock to realize she is no longer here. May everyone´s wonderful memories help the sadness she´s left behind.

There is not enough room to share the memories we have of Sherry Kay. We went to lunch almost every day and it was always an adventure with a lot of laughs. We were instant friends and she continue to keep in touch with me after we retired. Called Fred.............Papa Fred and knew no matter where we went there was always a room for her there. She was a wonderful dog lover and took good care while babysitting our dogs and helping us with the Leader Dogs. She would always check on my mom when we were out of town and was more like a family member than a friend. She will always be in our hearts and mind.
