Sherry Sue Schwein

Sherry Sue Schwein of Belle Plaine, Kansas, born on August 14, 1948 in Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025. Sherry was a dedicated and compassionate individual, known for her adventurous spirit and creativity. After over 35 years of diligent service, Sherry retired from Walmart as a Personnel Manager. She was highly respected in her field and was a role model for many.

In her free time, Sherry was an avid golfer, a passionate shopper, and a creative crafts maker. Her family and her dog, Abbey, were her greatest joys. She loved having fun and her adventurous spirit often led her to seek out new experiences. Sherry's radiant smile and generous heart touched many lives and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sherry is survived by her granddaughter Erica (Brandon) Turney, grandson Thatcher (Mandy) Starling, son-in-law Mike Whited, and her great grandchildren Dalton, Carson, Tyson, Landon, and Kane. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Stephen Schwein, parents Sammy and Frances Edwards, daughter Stephanie Whited, son Troy Sands, and her brother Russell Edwards.

A private family celebration of life will be held in honor of Sherry's life at a later date.

In Sherry's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Humane Society. Donations may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
