Sherry I'Vora Toler-Rogers, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was called to her eternal rest on October 18, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 21, 1974, in New York, NY. Sherry lived a full life despite her mental and physical health challenges. She had a passion for music, and had a profound love for her family.
Sherry graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1992 and completed one semester of junior college.
Sherry was raised in the church and participated in Sunshine Band, Y.P.W.W. and sang in the choir when she wasn't playing the drums.
As a talented drummer. Her rhythm resonated not just in melodies but also through the lives of those she touched. Sherry loved walking and was very adventurous.
Sherry was a fierce protector, she loved her family, had a strong sense of humor and always had a snappy comeback.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lillian E. Rogers and Theodore Toler Sr., and her brother Francisco Toler. Sherry's memory will be forever cherished by her siblings: J'Shcarla Adkins, (husband David), John Voner, Joanne Toler, Lynn Utsey, Teddy Toler Jr., and Fred Toler. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: J'Ana Adkins, David Adkins Jr. (wife Brianna), Kayla Adkins, John Voner V, James Voner, Jaden Voner, Jackson Voner, and Jordan Voner, as well as her great-nephew Kahmari Adkins.
Sherry's departure from this earthly realm was one of peace, as she succumbed to natural causes. Her legacy of love, faith, and music continues to echo in the hearts of those she left behind. As we mourn the loss of Sherry I'Vora Toler-Rogers, we also celebrate her life. She now rests in the arms of our Lord.
