Tamarion La'trell Gant, known affectionately as Marion by those who knew him best, left this world far too soon on October 10, 2025, at the age of 15, in his hometown of San Antonio, TX. Born on October 26, 2009, to a loving family, Marion's kind, loving, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
Marion was a beacon of light from the moment he arrived in this world to his doting parents, Tori L. Gant and Antavion Myles Sr. He was a cherished brother to Tavionna Gant-Myles, Trayden Myles, Triniti Myles, Aaliyah Hurd, Aalayah Hurd, Antavion Myles Jr., Jayceon Myles, Kaelyn Ruffin, Za'myah Myles, Yashad Jones-Myles, and Zahmyr Myles. His grandmothers, Tamm Keyes Chastang and Tatanisha Edwards, and grandfathers, Preston Bell and Melvin Myles, bestowed upon him values and love that shaped the young man he became. He was a beloved nephew to Tranay Gant, Paris Edwards, Alexander Turner, and Antwon Myles, and a dear cousin to Taerion and Aariyah Jones. His great aunt Cynthia Wright, great uncles Ronald Gant and Joseph Wright Jr., Great Great Grandmother Ruth Mason and Great Grandmother Wilma Simms along with a host of other relatives and close friends, will forever remember Marion's bright smile and warm heart.
Marion's educational journey began at Candlewood Elementary School before he moved on to Metzger Middle School. He was a student at Wagner High School, where he was known for his academic curiosity and the friendships he cultivated. His Baptist faith was an integral part of who he was, guiding him through his life's journey with grace and compassion.
From a young age, Marion had an infectious enthusiasm for life. He was passionate about sports, showcasing his talents on both the football field and soccer pitch. His love for video games and music offered him moments of joy and relaxation. Above all, Marion found the most happiness when spending time with his friends and family, where he was often the heart and soul of gatherings.
Marion's untimely departure leaves an indelible void in the lives of those who knew him. His kind, loving, and generous nature was a testament to the beauty of his soul. He was a young man who exuded warmth and friendliness, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. Marion's legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched, the memories shared, and the love he spread. We will all remember his great big smile that lit up our hearts as well as any room he entered,
As we bid farewell to Tamarion La'trell Gant, we celebrate the time we were privileged to have with him. Though his life was cut short, the impact he made will resonate for generations to come. Marion's spirit will forever be cherished, and his memory will remain a guiding light for all who were blessed to know him.
