Emma Paulette Cardey November 28, 1942 – October 13, 2025
Emma P Cardey, age 82, Passed away Monday October 13, 2025, at the Hospital surrounded by Love, Family & Friends.
Born November 28, 1942, in Rockford, Illinois, Emma was the daughter of Dorothy & Benjamin Jenkins. On June 9, 1962, Emma was united in marriage with the love of her life Ronald G Cardey Sr. Emma is survived by her daughter Barbara (Cardey) Penna, her son Ronald G Cardey (Pam), sisters Kathleen Schiess, Rose Lawler, brothers David Jenkins and Johnny Jenkins. Emma has six Grand Children, Ashley D Cardey, Debra C Deleon (Jeff), Nicholas B Cardey, Anthony I Penna, Emma G Cardey & Evan L Cardey. Three Great Grandkids Christopher C Barth, Mackenzie R Barth & Jaxon Cardey. Emma has many Nieces & Nephews whom she loved very much. Emma was predeceased by her Parents Dorothy & Benjamin Jenkins, sister Janet and brothers Ralph, Jim and Bob.
Emma enjoyed seeing the world in all her military travels overseas with Ron, camping & RV'ing life together. Emma loved being with Family & Friends especially on Family Game Nights where she would always win at card games.
Emma will be dearly missed by Family, Countless Friends & Colleagues she made over the years, as she will remain in so many of our hearts forever.
There will be a visitation and church service for Emma for those who would like to say their last goodbye on10/28 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at Watershed Church at 9315 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78217. There will be a reception for Family & Friends after the service.
A Funeral service will occur on 10/30 at 10:45am on at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209 Meeting at Shelter# 5.
