Sherry Atteberry Whitehead

Memorial services for Sherry Atteberry Whitehead, age 60, of Hawkins, Texas are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the First Baptist Church Lindale. Sherry died Saturday, August 10, 2024 at her residence after a long fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on October 18, 1963 in Dallas, Texas to the late Zackie Arline and Wanda Jean (Palmer) Atteberry. Sherry graduated from DeSoto High School in 1982 and then went on to continue her education attending North Texas State University and East Texas Baptist University. Sherry worked for the Linden - Kildare CISD for several years and married her love, Michael Ray Whitehead, on April 27, 2023 in Hawkins, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Jean Garner; father, Zackie Atteberry; and nephew, Bradley Reeves.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Michael Ray Whitehead of Hawkins, Texas; 3 children, Cody Boles and wife, Alex of Hughes Springs, Texas, Casey Boles of Texarkana, Texas, and Cheyenne Lummus and husband, Clint of Bloomburg, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Cade Boles, Cash Boles, Cassidy Boles, Charlie Boles, Nikolas Boles, Lattie Lummus and Hattlie Lummus; dad, Jerry Garner of Lindale, Texas; sisters, Brenda Jones and husband, Rodney of Lindale, Texas and Laura Reeves of Lindale, Texas; and by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Sherry loved people and especially treasured her family and loved them with all her heart.
