Sheryl Bruyn Obituary

With joy and love, we remember Sheryl Eddis Bruyn, known with affection as Sher or Auntie Sheryl. Sheryl, born in Covina, California, on July 2, 1940, passed away in her residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on October 21, 2024. Sheryl was dedicated wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and doting great-grandmother. She was funny, always ready with a quick joke or a witty quip. Her infectious laughter and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her.
Sheryl was an inspiring woman, whose loving nature touched all who knew her. True to her humorous nature, she was not a fan of cooking and often joked that she only included the kitchen in her home for resale value. Her true passion lay in spending time with family and friends, walking at Rotary Park, and lovingly caring for her husband of 40 years. Being a long-time member of Calvary Baptist, she had a resilient faith in Jesus. you. In Isaiah 41:10 it says, "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Sheryl lived this verse in her daily life, inspiring others with her unwavering faith and love.
Sheryl leaves behind a legacy of love in her children Chris Bruyn, Dana Bruyn and Shelley Rocamora; her grandchildren Chantelle Bruyn, Kyle Tyler, Christian Tyler, Michael Bruyn, Sienna Tyler, Danielle Bruyn, her great-grandchildren Dylan Tyler, Brixten Tyler, Brenner Bruyn, and Liam Campos and her sisters Nan Lucas and LaRae Hammond. She joins in eternal rest her father Raymond Mandy, mother Lela Dever, and brother Rod Mandy and her beloved husband Bill.
We invite those who knew and loved Sheryl to share their memories and photos on her memorial page. Your stories will help keep her spirit alive, and her memory a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
