We are so saddened to announce that our beloved mother, Sheryl Dianne Hebert, passed away on October 31st, 2023, at the age of 63. She passed away at her home in Walker, Louisiana.
Sheryl is preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Joy Hebert and her mother Lynda Hammons Mayhall. She is survived by her daughters Ashton Hebert, Meghan Hebert and her grandchildren Gage, Jack, Kingston, Lily, and Willow. She was the daughter of Cecil Wayne and Lynda Hammons Mayhall. Sheryl was the oldest of seven children including Wayne Mayhall Jr, Pamela Mayhall Chesne, Cindy Mayhall Hutchinson, Kymberly Mayhall Fontenot, Dawn Mayhall Verdun, Timothy Mayhall, and many nieces and nephews. She was a committed professional in the insurance industry for many years. Through her work she made many lifelong and wonderful friends.
Sheryl was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting or knowing our mother can attest to the light, love and understanding she emanated. She could make you laugh during hard times or be a shoulder to lean on. She presented herself with open arms without judgement and only offered unconditional love. You were accepted by her, you belonged to her, and you were special to her. She took from herself to make sure others were taken care of. She was selfless beyond measure in this life and now her wonderful spirit flows freely through us all.
It has been our deepest honor and blessing to have her as a mother. She will be terribly missed.
We invite you to donate to Sheryl’s existing go fund me account in lieu of flowers. This will go towards her grandsons Gage and Kingston who were in her care. There is also a donation link through the Church funeral services website.
