Sheryl “Sherry” Stevens, 70, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, from complications related to pancreatic cancer. Born on August 4, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Sherry lived a full and meaningful life defined by kindness, generosity, and a steadfast devotion to her family and friends.
A proud graduate of Beavercreek High School, where she was later honored in the Beavercreek High School Hall of Fame, Sherry demonstrated determination and perseverance early in life. While raising her two sons, Dillon Sheehan and Gerald Lyon, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees—an achievement that stood as a testament to her strength and commitment to personal growth.

Over the course of her career, Sherry worked in logistics for the U.S. Government, where her outstanding performance earned her a service award. Her work took her across the country, from Oklahoma and Ohio to Maryland and Texas, before she eventually returned to Oklahoma to retire.

Sherry found joy in many passions. She was a devoted member of Beaver United Church of Christ and found strength in her faith community. She loved cheering on both Oklahoma State and Ohio State football, restoring furniture, and traveling—especially to her favorite getaway, Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. She also had a fondness for shopping and treasured time spent with loved ones.

Deeply committed to helping others, Sherry volunteered for numerous organizations, including the American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, The Infant Crisis Center, and programs supporting battered women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Stevens; Her brother, Gary Stevens; and her sister, Connie McGrew. She is survived by her sons, Dillon Sheehan and Gerald Lyon; and two grandsons Arlo and Wyatt Lyon, who carry forward her strength, humor, and compassion.
