Sheryll Elizabeth Aulgur, born on Saturday, September 21, 1940, in Eastman, GA, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in her beloved home in Marietta, GA. Sheryll, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, lived a life full of love, wisdom, and kindness.
Sheryll is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Robert Aulgur, who stood by her side as a faithful partner through life's many seasons. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Terry Gibson, Kenny (Vickie) Smith, Robert (Kim) Smith, Sarah Golden, and Robert (Darlene) Aulgur. Her heart was further enriched by the joy of her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and happiness to her life.
Sheryll was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Carr and Lena Inez Carr, and her siblings, Joyce Lee, June Nash, and Buddy Carr. Their memories remained treasured in her heart.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Sheryll excelled professionally as a manager, where her leadership and diligence were deeply respected. Outside of her work, she found great pleasure in solving crossword puzzles, crafting beautiful poems, and offering her sage advice to all who sought her counsel. Her wisdom and care were a beacon for many, and she had an unparalleled ability to offer comfort and guidance.
The arrangements to honor and celebrate Sheryll's life are being handled by Roy Davis Funeral Home. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering a woman who was a pillar of strength, a source of endless love, and an inspiration to all who knew her.
