Robert Leland Aulgur, born on July 10, 1937, departed this life on May 15, 2025. A beloved figure to many, Robert’s life was one of dedication, love, and a profound appreciation for nature.
Throughout his years, Robert demonstrated a passion for the outdoors. He cherished riding horses in his younger days and found great joy in boating, whether it was working on boats or fishing. In his more peaceful moments, Robert loved tending to his potted plants and flowers, nurturing them with the same care he extended to his family.
Robert is survived by his children: Terry Gibson, Sarah Golden, and Robert (Darlene) Aulgur, as well as Kenny (Vickie) Smith and Robert (Kim) Smith. He was a proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind loving siblings Carol (David) Edgers and Duwayne (Anita) Aulgur, along with several other cherished family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years, Sheryll Aulgur, his son Gregory Aulgur, and his brother Kenneth Aulgur and sister-in-law Jackie Aulgur.
Robert’s memory will be honored through visitation on May 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a funeral service on May 23, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM at Roy Davis Funeral Home, located at 5935 Mulberry St, Austell, GA 30168.
Interment will follow in the Mosley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Ga.
He leaves a legacy of love that will be felt by all who knew him and will be remembered fondly in the hearts of his family and friends.
