James Riley Aulgur

James Aulgur, born January 24, 1961, passed away January 29, 2026, leaving behind a life tuned to curiosity, care, and ingenuity. He resided in Tightwad, Missouri, where you could find him grilling and spending time with his boys and his dog Wiki.

James had a natural knack for amateur radio and electronics. He delighted in how things worked and often found satisfaction in fixing, building, or improving what others might have given up on. To him, static was simply a puzzle waiting to be solved, and connection, whether through signals or people, always mattered.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mayzel, and their two sons, Wyatt and Waylan, who were the center of his world. He is also lovingly remembered by his loyal dog, Wiki, who rarely strayed far from his side. James was preceded in death by his parents Melvin & Barbara (Bridges) Aulgur. He is further survived by his siblings, Matthew Aulgur, Monica Mikkola, and Lynn Burnett, each of whom shared in the story of his life and the memories that remain.

James will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet intelligence, and the way he showed love through patience, dedication, and being there when it mattered. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the knowledge he shared, and the connections he made, both seen and unseen.
