Shilo Valentino Smith, known for his big heart, loyalty, and protective personality, passed away December 22, 2024, at the age of 24. Born on February 4th, 2000, in Akron, OH to Mother Kerri A. Nobles (Curtis), Father Terry L. Smith Jr. and Dad "Pops" Brandon A. Nobles. Kerri is the loving wife of Brandon, who are devoted parents to Teairsa, Sekou, Shilo, and Branieya.
Shilo lived his entire life in Akron, where he attended Ellet High School, and jumped straight into the workforce. Shilo's radiant personality, marked by his unwavering kindness, loyalty, and fierce love for those closest to him; left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. His protective nature and big heart ensured that his family and friends always felt supported, cherished and cared for.
Shilo's love for basketball was more than just a hobby; it was a passion that reflected his tenacity, teamwork, and dedication qualities he carried into every facet of his life. His daughter, ShiOnna will carry forward his spirit and legacy, serving as a reminder of the joy and love he brought to this world.
Shilo's life, though far too short, was filled with moments of laughter, love and unforgettable memories. He taught us the value of standing by one another and living with a full heart. His absence leaves a void that words cannot fill, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
Shilo was a peace-maker who tried to make peace in so many individuals lives. Shilo felt so defeated on making peace inside his own family and it hurt him how separated everyone became. After ShiOnna was born, Shilo was starting his mission on bringing peace back to all his loved ones; and he believed he could make that happen with his daughter. Although Shilo has left his physical on this Earth, he would want us to embrace him, and to continue out his mission; together.
