Shirley "Gail" Aaron passed away on April 11, 2025, in Springdale, Arkansas, at the age of 65. Born March 6, 1960, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Delbert and Donna Crossley (Newton), Gail grew into a woman who embodied fierce love, unwavering loyalty, and a strength that carried her family through every storm. Gail married the love of her life in July 1989, and though she and her husband spent a lifetime driving each other crazy, they wouldn't have had it any other way. She was the glue that held our family together-fiercely loyal, endlessly stubborn, and always ready to do anything for the people she loved. She taught us strength, resilience, and how to love with your whole heart, even when life gets messy. She adored her grandchildren beyond measure. They were her heart, her joy, and her pride. In them, her legacy of unconditional love continues. Gail found peace and purpose in the quiet joys of life. She was a talented quilt maker. She loved gardening, finding beauty in blooming flowers. Her saltwater fish tank was a peaceful retreat, and her beloved dogs, Ricky and Lucy, were constant companions who brought her endless comfort and joy. Her children all felt loved by Gail in her own fierce way. They always knew she was there when it mattered most. Her love stays with them, and they carry it forward. Gail was preceded in death by her fathers, William David Newton, who was there throughout her life, and Delbert Crossley; brother, Delwin James Crossley; father-in-law Billy Joe Aaron; and brother-in-law, Patrick Henry Murray Jr.

She is survived by her husband, William Aaron of Springdale, Arkansas; mother, Donna Marie Newton of Concord, North Carolina; daughters, Cassandra Sims of Springdale, Arkansas, Amanda Hewitt of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Eli Reed, Elysia Sims, Lillie Causton, Kimmerly McCall, Danyelle Sims; sister, Penny Newton of Concord, North Carolina; brother, Dave Newton and his wife, Norma, of Concord, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Patsy Northcut; and nephews, Justin Lewis and Jason Lewis.

Her presence filled every room, and her absence will be felt in every corner of the lives she touched. But her spirit-stubborn, strong, and full of heart-lives on in her family, in the memories they share, and in the love they carry forward.

Because of Gail's passion for gardening and her love of flowers, planting a tree in her memory would be a beautiful way to honor her spirit.
