Shirley Allen Obituary
Shirley Lucille Allen, age 88, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2024, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Shirley was born to Macon Grady Hinton, SR and Goldie Gertrude Hatfield-Hinton on April 10, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. In November of 1957, she exchanged vows with Herman Lee Allen; a bond that endured until his final breath.
Shirley loved reading, and she also loved her family and the many Sunday meals they shared. Her dedication shone through as she served as a laundry attendant for three decades.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Becky Wisinger, and spouse, Randy, her sons, Gary Allen and Bruce Ray, and brother, Johnny Hinton. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Stacey Wisinger and spouse, Alicia Henderson, Melanie Wisinger, Stephanie Ray Wylie, and spouse, Adam Wylie, Amanda Tenbrook, Nikki Ray, Jessica Kelly and spouse, Zac Kelly as well as 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Allen and her brother, Carl Hinton.
Pallbearers will be Zac Kelly, Carl Hinton, Shane Hinton, Brady Dyke, Logan Tenbrooke, and John Brosnan.
