Shirley Austin was born on February 29, 1948 in Corinth, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Leslie and Venia Hollins Edwards.
On November 20, 1965, she was united in marriage to Jamie Austin, who preceded his wife in death on November 18, 2001.
Shirley retired from Shiloh Foods where she worked in production.
Shirley Austin departed this life on February 5, 2025 in Adamsville, Tennessee, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 7 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Eves of Counce, Tennessee and Sandra Coffman of Shiloh, Tennessee; brother, Joe Randell Edwards of Lawton, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shay Bowden, Colby Bowden, Cody Bowden, Mason Wallace, and Haley Morgan; and great grandchildren, Tatum Bowden, Miley Meeks, and Hunter Morgan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death her sisters, Annie Buckeridge, Sally Ledgewood, Mary Ann Stevens, Mattie Eason, Marie Edwards, and Rudy Dean Cornelius; brothers, Willie Edwards, Eugene Edwards, James Williams Edwards, Dewey Edwards, and James Edwards; and grandson, Matthew Morgan.
