Shirley Ann Cobb Bishop (84) of Falmouth passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was born in Middlesboro, KY on January 12, 1941, daughter of the late James Walter and Mildred Ghent Cobb Colvin.
Shirley was an associate of the Jehovah Witnesses.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Jesse "Jimmy" James Bishop, son Bobby "Bopper" Bishop, daughter Kathy Jo Smith, brothers James (the late Norma) Cobb, Charles (Carole) Cobb, Ray (the late Neva) Cobb and Rick (Brenda) Cobb.
She is survived by Donna (the late Allen) Askin, Kathy Jo Smith, Bobbie "Bopper" Bishop, Timmy Bishop, Eddie Bishop, Johnny (Jackie) Bishop, and Kevin Bishop, Mike Bishop, whom she considered like her sons, brothers Roger (Tammy) Cobb, John (Brenda) Cobb, and Freddie (Peggy) Cobb, sisters Patricia (Dennis) Robin and Vickie (Steve) Carr, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and helped raise Kevin and Mike Bishop,
Visitation will be held from 11-2 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm, also at the funeral home. Shirley's final resting place will be at Neave Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah 100 French Street, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
