Shirley Ann Breden, age 68, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her home.
Shirley was born December 22, 1956 in Chillicothe, MO the daughter of Clifford Eugene and Margie Belle (Bivens) Pennington. She was united in marriage to John Peter Breden on May 10, 1991 in Mexico, MO. He survives.
She is also survived by her son, Bob Breden (Kristine) of Shelbina, MO; three daughters, Amanda Schoo (Steve) of Shelbina, MO, Angela Panameno (Jairo) of Shelbina, MO, and April Nolan (Bruce) of Shelbyville, MO; 28 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Luttrell (Pete) of Hallsville, MO, Linda Minnis of Moberly, MO, Sandra Collier (Clint) of Millersburg, MO, and Debbie McDonald of Cairo, MO; daughter-in-law, Danell Kistner of Columbia, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brandon Kistner; two brothers, Roger Pennington (Olethea) and Ronnie Pennington; and one sister, Donna Tucker (Allen).
Shirley was a faithful member of the Santa Fe Christian Church in Monroe County, MO. She loved flowers and gardening and playing Yahtzee. She was an organized hoarder and collector and always looked forward to celebrating Christmas. Most of all, she was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. A visitation will precede the service starting at 1 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society to help battle lung cancer or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
