Shirley Jo "Jodi" Brumfield went to be with the Lord and Savior, August 13, 2025. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Joseph "Jake" and Shirley Scurlock. On December 23, 1968, she married Danny Wayne Brumfield. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, who taught us the most important thing of all, was to stay close to God.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Danny, daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Bob Selbert, her granddaughter Faith and husband, Tom, and their daughters, Kendrix and Amelia, her brother Ted Scurlock and wife, Windy, and niece, Haley, and great-nephew, Kaiden, and niece and nephew by marriage, Elijah and Sabrina, and multiple loved cousins. Aunt Bucky Spell, who was by her side during the last of her days.
Visitation is 11:00 am – 12:00 noon, Monday, August 18, 2025, then service will be at 2:00 PM at Morehart Mortuary, in Breckenridge, Texas. She will be laid to rest at Breckenridge City Cemetery.
