Shirley Jean Capley Broome

Shirley Jean Capley Broome age 84, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Valentines Day 2025. She was a life long resident of Ringgold, Geogia and of the Baptist Faith. Shirley enjoyed life; traveling and spending time with friends were a couple of her favorite activities. She was a wonderful loving, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Everyone knew her as "Nana." She had a special bond with two of her grandchildren specifically, Tara and Christian. Tara was her primary care giver over the last several months and Christian would call Shirley every morning and every night before bed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin C. Capley and Mellie Smith Capley; son, Tim Broome; her wonderful son in law, Terry Williams, her grandson, Tyson Williams, and siblings, Leonard Capley, Lou Coffman, Margaret West.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Williams; daughter-in-laws, Cleia Broome and Ginger Banks; grandchildren, Tara Kay, Christian (Brittney) Broome, Christen BroomeMcNelley, Mike (Amanda) Broome, Danny (April) Broome, Vinney Broome, and Joshua Broome; life long friends, Peggy Boring and Jimmy Sue Bell; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life for Shirley Broome will be made at a future date.
