Shirley Ann Carr

The foundation of our family transitioned out of this life on January 4, 2026.

Shirley Ann Green Carr was born on July 6, 1938, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, a daughter of Edgar and Janie Green.

Shirley was an incredibly talented seamstress, gardener, and loved crafting for many years. She dedicated her life to being an amazing and wonderful mother, Granny, and friend to many,

In addition to her parents, Shirley was proceeded in death by her beloved son, Eric. We are envious of the reunion they are having! She is also proceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, William; precious grandson, Jeremy Clem; sister, Freda Southerland; and two special son-in-law, John Privitera and Bob Clem.

Shirley is survived by her children, Cherryl Howe of Cabot, AR, Cheri Clem of Newport News, VA, Renee Privitera of Jacksonville, AR, William Carr, Jr (Diana) of Bee Branch, AR; and brother, Edward "Son" Green of Jacksonville, AR.

She was the proud Granny to nine grandsons, Marty Piety, Jason Clem, Jeremy Clem, Lynn Southerland (Kristi), Marcus Dyson (Julie), Matt Dyson (Jessie), Tony Privitera (Christina), Trey Carr, and Jacob Carr (LeAnne). Her grandchildren blessed her with multiple great-grandchildren, Hillary, Olivia, Jaycee, Cameron, Martina, Tyler, Tiffany, Baylor, Ever, Marlie, Julia, Averi, Allie, Luke, Ruby, Scout, Alessandra, Violet, Liam, Elijah, and Judah; and three great-great-grandchildren, Maverick, Hollace, and Oliver.

Shirley's legacy is her family and will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the joy she brought into our lives.

There will be visitation from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. A graveside serviced will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
