Shirley Jean Collins ObituaryShirley Jean Collins (nee Rowles)
November 29, 1936 – August 5, 2025
With a heavy heart we say goodbye to our dear and beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. We will all miss her so much.
Our Shirley was a true beauty. She was a Willoughby resident for 88 years having attended Willoughby Union High.
Shirley was a talented gardener. A huge smile would grow across her face as she walked you through her garden naming all of the flowers for you.
She had a beautiful singing voice and was active in Sweet Adeline's for a time. She could sing any song with all the words. She even sang songs up to her last weeks in memory care.
She is survived by her children Kenny (Jane) Collins, Diane Sicurezza (former spouse, Louis), Kimberly (Dan) Cleary, and sister Doreen Patacca (nee Rowles).
She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Destiny Simcic, Louis P. Sicurezza, Kenny Sicurezza, Brian Cleary and Kevin Wiezer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Virginia Rowles, sister Nancy (Bob) DiPaolo and son Peter Bradley Collins.
She had close relationships with her nephew Brian Patacca and sister-in-law Molly Whinnery (nee Collins) and seven nieces and nephews as well as one great niece. Shirley also leaves behind her beloved friend Karen McCullough.
Private family services will be held.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
