Theresa Armelli ObituaryTerri was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away on August 5th at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and showing kindness to others. Terri won her battle with cancer for 6 and a half years. She was blessed to have an "army" of people who prayed for and supported her.
Terri was born to Frank and Doris Sraj on July 2, 1956. While attending college she reconnected with a grade school friend, Tim, who became the love of her life. They were married for 44 years (July 18). Together, they welcomed 2 sons: Brian and Dan and lived a wonderful life in Painesville, Eastlake, and Mentor. She loved to talk about her boys and their many accomplishments. Her family meant more to her than anything else in the world and she was unendingly proud of them and cherished her time with them.
Terri is a proud graduate of St. Mary Magdalene and was in the first graduating class of Lake Catholic. She worked in the office at The Oakwood Club until she graduated from Cleveland State University. After teaching for 12 years at St. Paschal Baylon, she continued her career at All Saints School in Wickliffe. At All Saints she taught 4th grade, was the computer teacher and tech coordinator, and ended her career there as the school principal. Terri's pride was in her school, co-workers, and students, and she shared her passion for learning with hundreds of children over the years. She retired after being an educator for 36 years. Before Covid, Terri was a Eucharistic Minister at St. John Vianney.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Terri. She loved a quiet evening with her family and friends. During summer breaks she enjoyed visiting baseball stadiums around the states with her boys. She loved cheering for the Cleveland Indians (Guardians), Browns, and Cavs
Terri and her family are grateful and thankful for the loving care she received from the people at Hillcrest Hospital, The Hospice of Western Reserve, and Hummingbird Home Care. They are especially thankful to Dr. Neha Mitra, Dr. Kathleen Ashton, Dr. Betty Obi, Dr. Laura Shoemaker, and Sara Scott BSN, RN
