Shirley Lynn Daniels, 74, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the Serenity House in Morristown, Tennessee. Born on May 19, 1951, in Wilmington, Delaware, she lived a life marked by faith, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends.
A proud member of Peace Freewill Baptist Church, Shirley found great joy and strength in her Christian faith. She was known for her loving and kind spirit, always ready with a smile and a sense of humor that brought comfort and laughter to those around her. Her days were often filled with reading her Bible, attending church services, crocheting beautiful creations by hand, enjoying the outdoors, and cherishing time spent with her loved ones.
Shirley was a devoted mother to her daughter Casey (Shane) Henson and son Chad Daniels. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Lincoln Gray and Chad's children. Her nurturing heart extended beyond her immediate family-she was also a caring sister to Brenda (Morris) Harris and a dear friend to Lula & Ralph Ozmun, Mary Lou Akins, Robin Jarnigan, Ashley Jarnigan, Peggy Basinger, and Ashley Hammer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and John T. Daniels. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Shirley's legacy is one of compassion, faithfulness, and unwavering love for those she held dear. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5 – 7 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home 146 E Main Street. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in her memory, to the Serenity House (Friends of Hospice) in Morristown.
The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff members at Serenity House and her care team from Smoky Mountain Hospice for their unwavering compassion, love, and professional care.
